Kitsch Cupcakes, the region’s first cupcakes concept, announced today that it has rebranded its outlets to ‘Kitsch Counter’ and introduced a new wholesome menu. The menu is a combination of a scrumptious mix of sweet and savory items prepared fresh daily using the highest quality ingredients and organic ingredients, where possible. Dalia Dogmoch Soubra, Author - Food Love and Life from Dalia’s Kitchen and Co-Founder, Kitsch, explains the reason behind the decision, “We decided to return to the way we started Kitsch in Beirut in 2006, with a café offering savory and sweet delights. We started out as a food concept with high emphasis on real ingredients and real food. Today we went a bit further, offering wholesome options as people nowadays have different food preferences. We are really excited about our tweaked concept, which provides our customers with plenty of new, delicious and wholesome options.” Some of the items on the new menu include Paleo Muffins, Homemade nut butters and Jams, a popular Kitsch Kale Salad, Zucchini Bread and Gluten Free Homebaked Granola to name a few. “We aim to spread goodness and awareness about wholesome food, without necessarily cutting out food groups or following trendy diets; but giving options to everyone. You can have a scrumptious kale salad that doesn’t taste like your typical greens, and you can indulge in a cupcake that is made from real ingredients, baked in small batches or have a dairy free Chia Seed morning pudding as an alternative to your regular muffin. A balanced menu under one roof to cater to all food lovers!” The award-winning cupcakes are still offered at all Kitsch Counter branches across the U.A.E. “Our cupcakes are going nowhere!” Dalia reassures us. Kitsch Counter is also offering organic coffee, cold pressed juices, nut milks and coconut water. Customers will also be able to enjoy unlimited Wi-Fi in a cozy and chilled environment. The Kitsch story began in 2006 when childhood friends Dalia Dogmoch Soubra and Racil Chalhoub decided to start a unique business concept in Beirut. It was a combination of the best in fashion and food under one roof; a place where one could shop, enjoy a healthy salad, freshly baked cakes and unwind. After realizing the enormous demand for the cupcakes in Beirut, they decided to expand and introduced a specialized cupcakes concept in Dubai. When Kitsch Cupcakes opened its doors on the Jumeriah Beach Road in Dubai back in 2008, it was the first specialized cupcakes concept to open in the region. In 2010, Kitsch Cupcakes opened their second branch in the Capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, before opening a third branch at the Dubai International Financial Centre. Over the years, the brand received several accolades and recognition for the quality of their cakes including one from three Michelin stars British Celebrity Chef Marco-Pierre White. The brand has also supported several community initiatives and projects to raise awareness of different causes as well as help raise funds for non-profit organizations.
