Michèlle Belau, the renowned high-street Peruvian fashion label, which operates more than 43 stores in South America today, revealed its latest expansion plans for the region. The brand introduced its flagship store in the Middle East at City Walk in Dubai last year and is now looking to increase its presence across the UAE. According to Veronica Smulders, Managing Director, Michèlle Belau Middle East, “We plan to open at least 5 new stores over the next 5 years and these will be distributed between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We would like to build on our success in the UAE before expanding to the wider GCC.” Michèlle Belau is looking to expand its operations in the region primarily through equity crowdfunding. The brand will list a campaign with Eureeca.com, the first global crowdinvesting platform that helps businesses raise capital to expand and grow from of a crowd of investors in exchange for shares in the business. “We are really excited about our listing on Eureeca.com as this will open new doors for us, create new opportunities and more importantly, it will allow our customers to be part of our business and the future of the brand in the Middle East region”, explains Veronica. Over the last year, Michèlle Belau was recognized as one of the best fashion stores in the UAE and the brand’s exceptional ‘Personal Shopper’ experience was also rated to be one of the best in the city. Michèlle Belau also introduced an online store to serve customers from across the Middle East region. With a relentless focus on outstanding customer service and customer satisfaction, the brand is all set to boost Peru’s presence in the Middle East’s fashion scene in the years to come.
