A lot more than just Cupcakes!

The Kitsch Concept was founded back in 2006 in Beirut by two childhood friends Dalia Dogmoch and Racil Chalhoub. After the success of the Kitsch concept in Lebanon, they decided to introduce it to Dubai opening the city’s first cupcakes concept in November 2008 along the Jumeirah Beach Road. In 2010, Kitsch Cupcakes opened their second branch in the Capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, before opening a third branch at the Dubai International Financial Centre where they carried their delicious delicacies to the offices!

Not too many people are aware of the fact that Kitsch Cupcakes were in fact the first specialized cupcakes concept to open its doors in Dubai. They are renowned for their fresh and high quality cupcakes with ingredients imported from France and the United States. The concept is also famous for its delightful Red Velvet cupcake, which was rated as the best tasting cupcake in the UAE by 3-Star Michelin and Celebrity Chef Marco-Pierre White.

The concept has grown over the years and today offers celebration and wedding cakes, brownies, blondies, muffins, cake pops, cookies, homemade truffles and other yummy delights!

So what makes Kitsch Cupcakes different? The answer is simple: Dalia Dogmoch Chief Baker and Co-Founder Kitsch Cupcakes.

Dalia started baking at a very young age and she was able to turn her passion into a successful business. She is in the kitchen every single day leading her team of bakers. Here is what British Celebrity Chef Marco-Pierre thinks of Dalia’s secret cupcake recipes, “I like the texture, they've got some body; they are nice and moist.” Oh and they are absolutely delicious, we’d like to add!

We are soon approaching the Holy Month of Ramadan and we got used to Kitsch’s offerings for special occasions whether it is Christmas, Eid, Diwali or Ramadan, something is always cooking in the kitchen. Kitsch Cupcakes will also be introducing a special range of cupcakes for Ramadan. Kitsch will be introducing a Pistachio Praline cupcake, a vanilla base cupcake topped with vanilla icing and a hint of pistachio praline. If you are one of those who love pistachio ice cream, this cupcake is a must-try!  They will also be introducing Turkish Delight, a cupcake with a chocolate base and a combo of vanilla and chocolate icing finished with fine traditional Turkish ingredients. Kitsch will also be recalling their famous Sticky Date cupcake, a moist date cupcake with butterscotch icing!

Kitsch Cupcakes are no strangers when it comes to supporting charity programs and initiatives across the UAE. They have been involved in a number of projects including Dubai Cares - Ramadan, Dubai Autism Centre, Burjuman Safe & Sound Breast Cancer Awareness Program, SolidariTea Breast Cancer Awareness Event, Make Cupcakes not War – Pakistan Flood Victims, Senses – Centre for Children with Special Needs, Cakes for a Cause – Burjuman, Charity Bake ‘n’ sale (orphans) – American University of Sharjah, Lyla Nsouli Foundation for Children's Brain Cancer Research, Chocol’art and the recently concluded Abu Dhabi Autism Awareness Walk.

Kitsch Cupcakes are also available at all VOX Cinemas across the UAE; you can now watch a movie and enjoy a cupcake at the same time!

Finally, Kitsch Cupcakes are scheduled to open their first branch in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia later this month carrying their successful concept to another big city in the region. Who knows where they might pop up next? Stay tuned!
