Merci Chef! Awards to recognize culinary talent

Merci Chef!, Eurial’s export brand of cheese, butter and UHT cream which is sold in over 50 countries outside of France, announced today the Merci Chef Awards which will for the first time welcome entries from the U.A.E this year. Merci Chef aims to promote quality French cheeses and the various ways to enjoy them around the world.



Merci Chef offers products for both Food Professionals as well as Consumers. Merci Chef’s product categories range from goat cheese, cow cheese, butter and whipping cream. Starting the 19th of October 2014, Food Professionals and Consumers within the U.A.E. will be able to submit their recipes through a dedicated microsite, www.mercichefawards.com

“We are excited about the Merci Chef! Awards this year as foodies from the U.A.E will be able to participate in our recipe contest and help us uncover some of the culinary talent in the region,” states Christophe PIGRE, export brand manager.

For the Food Professionals category, the competition has two phases. In the first phase, one recipe from the UAE will be selected and declared the winning entry. The winner will receive a dinner for two in a top Michelin starred French restaurant. In the second phase, the winning Chef will be filmed preparing his or her recipe and the video will be presented among other videos from other countries to a panel of judges from Merci Chef and the winning video will receive a culinary voyage in Paris.

For the Consumers category, the recipe entries with the highest votes and best marks from the jury will be declared winners and the winners will win unique culinary experiences and other exciting prizes. The deadline for entries for both the ‘Consumers’ and ‘Professionals’ categories will be the 15th of December 2014 and the winners will be announced shortly after.
